Director of Human Resources & Risk Management

Art Young moved to Wisconsin in 1976 and all three of his grown sons were raised here.  He has been very involved with developmentally disabled individuals for many years and strongly supports their development, achievements and successes in the community. 

Art has many years of diverse experience in all aspects of Human Resources.  He was Vice President of Human Resources for the Briggs & Stratton Power Products Group, a major manufacturer and market leader of many models of lawn and garden equipment.  He previously held HR leadership positions for two other very large manufacturing and service corporations with multiple facilities throughout the U.S.  

He has worked for businesses ranging from small, entrepreneurial companies with 25-100 employees to major corporations with sales over $2.5 billion and 10,000 employees in multiple locations.  He has helped many companies improve and form positive Human Resource strategies and cultures.  He successfully developed and implemented many programs in HR Management, Talent Acquisition and Retention, Organizational Development & Training, Succession Planning, Performance Management and Improvement, Compensation, Employee Benefits & Wellness, and Employee & Labor Relations.  

Art earned his Bachelors in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University in Ohio with a major in Industrial and Labor Relations—Human Resources.
